Firstly is Die Hard 4.0 or whatever its calling itself in your country. It’s one of those ‘hacker’ movies where everything you use on the PC is navigated by floating gui windows with no icons and everything is accessible interactively, like building blueprints and the like. Christ I would love it if someone made a blockbuster that was even semi realistic that way. The main disappointment however is not that its a ‘hacker’ movie, but moreso that it turns into an absolutely ridiculous ‘action’ movie whereby John McLane ends up rolling around on the back of an F-35 fighter that’s hovering through traffic and amidst poles of a raised freeway. I know its Die Hard, but this doesn’t excuse things going over the top.
Secondly is the new Korn album, Untitled. It’s got the usual 2 or 3 good songs, such as Bitch We Got A Problem and Killing, but the rest is melodramatic and stupid to be honest. The two or three good songs are frankly great however. I know that Bitch We Got A Problem is going into my repeat list.
I also grabbed myself some new speakers which will (hopefully) be delivered soon, a set of Logitech Z-5500’s:
Now I got these, for the sum of $191 + postage. If you have a look at the Logitech site for them, you may notice that they’re advertised for $699.95. 
Dick Smith Electronics had them advertised for this price for whatever reason and me & a mate have grabbed a set each. The sub is 188 watts with a 500watt amp built into it, and they’re also THX certified. These are the best damn things you can get. The ad for them has since been removed from the site. Thanks go to LDM for linking me to them, whom I’m sure got linked from someone else.
The FTO’s engine mount hasn’t arrived either which is frustrating, I hate the crunching sound that I get at the moment.

Yeah I know the Viccies get to drive that speed from day one, but still. I got my full license today and I’m happy to be off the police attracting P plates. I also ordered (finally) a new engine mount for the FTO and I’m now waiting for it to arrive. As soon as it in the car will basically be up to scratch and running sweet.
I saw Ghost In The Shell: Innocence tonight on the big screen and Appleseed last night. Appleseed was dubbed in english and really didn’t work as a translated movi but GITS:I was in Japanese and it was absolutely awesome in hugeres. It was funny however, some people obviously had no idea what the movie was about and left about two thirds the way through. What exactly are you expecting in a movie titled ‘Ghost In The Shell: Innocence’, its not exactly a title that sounds like anybody can roll up and see it.
No work for quite some time as well, Uni went on holidays so no need for me to be there. Annoying really. Sleep schedule is just as broken as ever too which is why I’m typing this at 5am.
What exactly is Nero Home, Nero Smartstart, and Nero Vision? Why does it want to associate itself with my MP3’s, pictures and everything else on my PC? Seriously, when did Nero get like a virus and want to swarm my entire PC with its crap. All I want to do is burn stuff to a CD, I may as well use Windows CD Burner for this. It even has a fucking search toolbar? What the hell. Oh, and you need to update your DirectX 9.0 version too! Because I need that to put data on writeable media.
Its 470mb as well, for something that should be a singular program with no added on crap. It even has the “50 free MP3’s!” option. Die Nero, die. Thankfully however, you can get old versions! Behold! – any version you want. Back to 6.6.1.4 for me. Thank you FileHippo. As I download this its even taking over 60 seconds to un-install the old version, and its telling me this from a prompt. Bah.

It has to be the best action movie I’ve ever seen, absolutely no question about that. What I’m concerned about is the sequels living up to the incredible level the first has achieved. I feel sorry for the rest of the world which hasn’t gotten the movie yet, like America for example. Every character aside from Jazz or whatever his name was had good lines and personalities. Its also pretty damn funny which was a big surprise. Anyone who doubts Michael Bay now after seeing Transformers must be an absolute moron.
The FTO now has 4 new tires and its headlight fixed, so I’m happy with that. Up next is the rear wing and engine mount. Rear wing I’ve already bought but I’m waiting for the engine mount as I’m getting it from the same guy. I’ll get both those things installed and then the climate control looked at. Should be good.
