Almost there..

Category: Personal, Playoodles @ 12:21 am

I’m about a week away right now from getting the FTO. Original interior with replaced parts, roughly 106k’s, and the rims that are on it now, which are spiked, and suit the thing down to the ground. Can’t wait really, and now all I have to do is sell the lancer. I’m not sure how long that’s going to take.

In other news, I’ve been considering buying Day Of Defeat: Source, for its good looking maps and already established team in [r.]ebellion. Its only $20, anyway. I hope my next update includes pics of the car in my possession!

Yawn

So tired yet so content. Next week I think I’ll be checking out the FTO in Canberra with a mechanics check which will most probably be the final check before handover / purchase. :D   This of course makes me a happy happy guy.

In other news, I’ve finished all of my course at TAFE, and I’m a free man until my horrible horrible UNI course starts up again. Oh well, at least I have a couple of months free to relax after 2 years of work. :)

Well I’m yawning again, I’ll end this here.

Is al lI have to say. Looks like with this prospective FTO that I originally checked out, I’ll most likely be getting a brand new interior from a workshop car that the seller has just bought, so the interior should basically be brand new! Excellent, in my opinion. I really want this particular FTO in Canberra, as the other two I checked on in Melbourne were absolutely terrible, one with panels broken all over the place and the other with its entire fuel tank replaced. Who replaces the fuel tank when the car has only done 50,000 km? It was too suss for me so I left that one.

Ive got two very large assignments on at the moment, annoying as hell. One roughly 20 page one for a TAFE subject and the other relates to my end of year TAFE project. Both should be easy enough to complete, but the time taken in writing out roughly 15-20 pages for each is gonna be really really annoying. Ive also got a Uni exam on Wednesday, which has me kinda worried as I haven’t done anything for Uni all year. Guess thats the price to pay for not paying attention in class, but if you were there, you’d find out how hard it was, really.

What am I doing?

Seriously? I’m being given a car and yet I still have not got myself into gear to check it out? Why have I not? I feel like an idiot and starting tomorrow I’m going to get right on the subject and immediately start proceedings. Its a small tight hard driving sports car, something I’ve wanted for a hell of a long time, and I just haven’t done anything about it?! God I feel like an idiot. On the subject of cars, I went to the Game1 LAN and Autosalon this past weekend, and a lot of jaw dropping “oh mah gawd” sounds were made. I took a ton of pictures too so check them out here.

We were sitting directly across from team Immunity too, which kinda screwed us over in every way of hoping we could win the 1.6 or source comps. On the subject of winning however, have a look at this little item, its a Naturalpoint TrackIR PRO 4 which apparently tracks your head movements whilst in games and moves your screen around. I won this down at the LAN as a random door prize. I was shunning this thing, until I went home and checked the actual price of this thing, its over $250 to buy it! I couldn’t believe it as I thought this thing was a simple little gimmick which you got from bargain bins. apparently not. I’m currently eBay’ing it for about half its price at auction, so if you’re interested in one for cheap, go ahead and check it out.

Today my entire TAFE class came out to my place and helped set up a powered wireless camera which will be monitoring the Squirrel Glider colony that’s out here at my place. The video will be then sent via a wireless link to the local primary school, and then from there sent to Melbourne to be placed on a website and streamed to all. I was surprised how quickly we achieved so much, as well as how easy it all went together. Pity the dirt around my house is somehow made of impenetrable rock, however some water and blisters soon fixed all that up.

As for my listening habits of late, they’ve gone all over the place. I’ve really been listening to a lot of HardTrance all streamed from the Internode Radio Network from DigitallyImported which allows me to stream it without it counting to my download allowance. I really love node for its crazy amount of free items and data. Well done node, well done. Otherwise, I’ve just been listening to HardStyle from BassByte in the car. ON that note, Audioholik has a new mix uploaded at BassByte by the way. As for the gaming side of things, I’ve played, and finished, NFS:Carbon. I got it on the Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm, and by 12:30am Friday morning, I had finished the game, which wasn’t so good, I had expected much more time taken. The storyline wasn’t great, but the FMV’s were really good, I have to give it that. In summary, its not as good as Most Wanted.
Ttfn!
